I been thinking a lot about this and remembering how my high school and college cafeteria had an array of items like frozen pizza, cookies, and tex-mex style burritos. I never ate there, as a first-generation immigrant it was drilled in my head eating that food would not only make me fat but also give me diabetes. Looking back now I wish my school served local fresh produce, it would have probably made everyone I went to school with grow up healthier.

This just crossed my mind because NCAT ATTRA has been doing a lot to make local produce available in schools: ATTRA Farm to School

Did you have local produce serve in your school? Would you like the produce you grow to be served in schools?

Hello! I'm new to the forum stuff, but have been wanting to connect with you/your office for a while. I'm in and working in & around Texas. I would enjoy connecting with you, generally - and would like to discuss this program, as well as a couple of other things...including a couple of projects on which I'm involved. Thank you for all you do! - LeeAnn
