I love this publication by Fred Provenza, Scott Kronberg, and Pablo Gregorini on how pasture raised animals that eat a diet rich in phytochemicals provide more healthful food products. This is good information to share with your direct market customers as a sales incentive if you are selling pasture raised animal products.

Yes, there is currently a lot of research showing the different ways that grass-fed milk has more nutritional value than grain-fed milk. I particularly found the article below interesting because it shows that the fats found in grass-fed milk is healthier (high in omega-3s) than grain-fed (higher in omega-6s, associated to increased risk of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes). Given all the benefits of grass-fed milk on our health, I can see how grazing is a win-win-win for soil health, human health, and our pocketbooks.
