Recommendations for a microbiological soil health test.

Hey all,
I'm currently doing soil nutrient analysis on the 5 acres that I manage but am curious if someone is testing their soil for microbiological activity. The lab I use unfortunately doesn't do that. Any input is helpful!

Hi Hernan. We use Earthfort Labs for direct microscopy testing and they are coming out with more (read faster and cheaper) testing options this spring. Well worth contacting them!

That said, whenever I think about testing, the first thing to think about are your goals for testing. What are you growing? How are you planning to use the testing to improve your fields? What kind of testing makes the most sense? How often should you be testing? When are you testing?
